Orexin A (hypocretin-1) is a 33-residue hypothalamic neuropeptide stabilised by an N-terminal pyroglutamate and two intramolecular disulfide bridges, so it has no plain single-letter sequence. It is studied as an agonist at the orexin OX1 and OX2 receptors in arousal- and feeding-signalling models.
