Sermorelin is GRF(1-29) amide, the N-terminal 29-amino-acid fragment of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) and the shortest fragment retaining full GHRH-like activity in studied systems. It acts as an agonist at the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs and is composed of the standard L-amino acids.
