About Thymosin Alpha-1

Residues

Molecular weight

CAS number

Thymosin alpha-1 (thymalfasin) is a 28-residue acidic peptide corresponding to a naturally occurring N-terminal fragment of prothymosin alpha, originally isolated from thymic tissue. In research it is characterised as an immunomodulatory thymic peptide that signals through Toll-like receptors (notably TLR2/TLR9) on dendritic cells and modulates T-cell, NK-cell and cytokine responses.

For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
