PNC-27 is a 32-residue chimeric peptide combining the HDM-2 (MDM2)-binding domain of the p53 tumour-suppressor protein with a membrane-residency leader derived from the Drosophila Antennapedia homeodomain. In research it is studied for selective binding to membrane-associated HDM-2 and induction of transmembrane pore formation in transformed cells in vitro.
